Artist Statement:
Art is life…. Life is colours, texture and guts; with the magic of each stroke I strive to put together a dramatic image, which travels through my eyes into your emotions. My goal as an artist is to bring it all together into one viewable moment. In all my paintings I aim to create a sense of intrigue.
The women in my paintings aren't based on live models, they materialise from within my inner most consciousness. A model would catch my spirit with her presence and would compel me not to lose a single detail. Then my art would become merely a copy. Therefore I seek to make visible in my paintings not the person as she is but what my feelings convey.
