This Poem I have written for husband - William for our 40th wedding anniversary August 2008

Via Airmail
Since the day you first said hello
I fell in love…. and want you to know.
I am writing love letters and more.
Poetry for the man I adore.
This love letter comes quite naturally
Just thinking of you inspires me.
This is my first poem I’ve written to you
To tell you it’s you I adore,
In poetry I’ve never written before.
This love letter in poetry is on its way
Delivered my darling

Light My Fire

In my heart you burn a flame
I don’t mind and I do proclaim
Your devilish ways I want to tame.
Getting closer is my one aim
Hoping that you’ll feel the same
In your heart you’re truly game
Teasing me with burning flame
Those devilish ways are a pain
But I adore you all the same.

The Bathers

Taking a bath is a guilty pleasure
The satisfaction we feel is without measure
There’s nothing quite like it on a cold day
To fill up the tub and soak ones troubles away
The warmth of the water
The touch on the skin
It seems like a sin
The tub filled so close to the top
Once emersed from the sides the water will sloop
No quilt do we carry for choosing this path
For the pleasures we seek
When there's four to a bath.

Nothing But Hot Air

My life is nothing but hot air
In neat little rows
I put it up in baskets
And tied it with bows
Here are my worries
In wicker and rope
No longer to dampen my heart
Or my hope
I tied them soundly
So they’ll never fall
All in air balloons
With no ballast at all

Flirting with Chopin

The soft weeping sound reaches my ear
That lovely sound I love to hear
I turn and look and try and see
Who is playing Chopin’s melody?
She draws the bow across the strings
And all at once a night bird sings
Gentle notes the slowly seep
An aching heart that almost weeps.
The bow whispers a gentle tune
Gliding in gliding out
Flirting with Chopin
I have no doubt
