(Poem to William)

Since the day you first said hello
I fell in love…. and want you to know.
I am writing love letters and more.
Poetry for the man I adore.
This love letter comes quite naturally
Just thinking of you inspires me.
This is my first poem I’ve written to you
To tell you it’s you I adore,
In poetry I’ve never written before.

This love letter in poetry is on its way
Delivered my darling

Red Heads

Red heads are like a blaze of rum
Red heads like to have fun
Red heads, a thing of mans desire
Red heads setting hearts on fire
Red head flames that leap and shout
Red heads know what life about.

La Couturiere

I fancy myself
A tailor made
Patchwork dress
All hand made
For my Sunday best

Seams so thin
With thread so deep
A dress fit for a queen
Or so it will seem

I’ll put it together
With needle and thread
In tight zigzag and
Flat stitch thread

The Patchwork

Life is like a patchwork
Put together by time
Made from different piece
We find along the way
The part we quilt together
Will have beauty to behold
Fashioned with our love
And bound in red and gold
There will be many patches
Some blue and grey
But with every patch
I proclaim my love
For you each day.

Jack Russell

My life’s full of
Importance and bustle
I know I’m the greatest
They call me Jack Russell
I’ll follow a fox
Right into the lair
I’m not that pretty
I don’t have long hair
I’m a dirty street fighter
I’ll fight to the death
Bring in your Doberman
I’ll give him my best
I wont walk or heal
Or do what I’m told
Non the less
I’m loyal and bold
So don’t step near my missus
Don’t push me to far
Get right off my pavement
Don’t get near our car
When were alone
I sit on her knee
She knows she’s quite safe
I’m Jack Russell
You see.
