Waimamauku Mutton

Item Notes: YEAR 1979

During this period I was living in NZ  on the beautiful Hokianga, Harbour. I was fascinated with our nearby butchery with it's saw dust  floor. The owner,  somewhat of a character,  would let me spend time inside  the freezer room, I did many works of hanging sausages and legs of lamb. Cold as it was I enjoyed the experience. Oh! forgot to mention,  the owner did a few hair cuts for the locals as well. A bit of a "Sweeny Todd"
